Up and running in no time
KG Knutsson needed a better control and an overview of the information in its Movex ERP system. They evaluated a number of different tools and chose QlikView. The main reasons for choosing QlikView were the intuitive user interface and the comprehensive library of standard applications included. The first application was adapted to improve how KGK reviewed its sales statistics. After this, they have continued to develop applications for account receivable ledgers, inventory, accounting and many other areas.
The QlikView applications have enabled each member of the sales teams to review and control their accounts in a much more detailed fashion. Today, they are able to check not only that the correct invoices have been sent out, but also that they are paid on time before shipping additional goods.
Lower storage costs
Today KG Knutsson is considerably more in control of its operations. For instance, profit margins have become immediately visible in QlikView. Group Controller Peter Flemström uses QlikView on a daily basis to follow-up the company’s performance and thereby quickly act on any deviation. With QlikView, he has much better control over both revenue and expenses. This has enabled him to optimize storage quantities for all products. Some products have even been eliminated altogether. This reduces the overall storage costs which in turn means increased profit margins.
